OUR ATMOSPHERE
Friendly, casual, and uplifting.
Please know that the atmosphere here is friendly and casual. You will find mature, non-perfect people, who enjoy growth in spirituality. We feature an uplifting scripture message from our Pastor, and songs from our choir and congregation. During our service you can view our worship on the upper front wall to follow along with.
CHILDCARE
We are “child friendly” with professional caretaker’s to care for the little ones during your worship activities.
Childcare is available 7:45-11:45 am on Sunday’s for the 8:00 am and 10:30 services, including 9:00 am Sunday School for all ages.
Childcare for other Church events may be arranged, if requested 48 hours before an event.
DRESSCODE
Casual – We foster a pleasant and comfortable environment. We want you to come for worship, not walk the cat walk.
NO EXPECTATIONS
Offerings are not required. Your attendance is a welcome contribution! Although contributions are appreciated, they are not required for worship by any visitor.
RECEPTION
We like to greet everyone when they enter our House of Worship – even those who try to sneak around us! Coffee and cookies are available in the Fellowship Hall after each service. Get to know some of our congregation and perhaps, make a new friend! We’re good at introductions at Christ Community UMC; you see, over half our members joined within the last 5 years! Our house of worship welcomes all surrounding communities, so you might find your neighbors here if you live in the areas of Avondale, Buckeye, Goodyear, and Litchfield Park, Arizona!
BIBLICAL IN FAITH
We are not a Doctrine based church. Our faith is guided by Scripture, Tradition, Experience, and Reason. Of paramount importance is Scripture. For United Methodists, the Bible is the record of God’s interactions with people of faith as they try to understand and live out God’s promises.
PARKING
We have plenty of parking. The parking is all close by the building and off-street with protective guardian angels provided free of charge. We have handicap parking available right next to the building, on the east side.
SEATING
Feel free to take any seat in our sanctuary (front or back). We have wheelchair accessible seating with a companion chair located in the last row of our sanctuary.
RESTROOMS
Restrooms are located in back corner of the sanctuary if you need them. We also have 2 sets of handicap accessible restrooms.
